Day Four

They’d been on the road again for ten minutes the next morning when Justin growled, “Stop looking at me like that.”

Edwina grinned. “Like what?” she asked innocently as the scenery whizzed by and the radio played some ACDC.

“Like you want a bit of sumthin’ sumthin’.”

Oh, she did. She really, really did. She wanted his sumthin’ sumthin’ bad. “And what if I did?” she asked. “What are you going to do about it, driving a hundred kilometres an hour with both your hands on the steering wheel?”

He flicked a glance at her before returning his attention to the road. “God… one moment of debauchery in the back seat of the car and you’ve turned into a monster.”

“This is true,” she sighed. “And I’m hungry. You should really feed me.”

“Oh, I intend to,” he said. “Later. When we get to Tenterfield and I can get you alone.”

Edwina slid her hand onto his thigh, just above his knee, and smiled as his quad tensed under her palm. The problem with the rally was that they were hardly ever alone. “I don’t think I can wait that long. Once wasn’t enough.”

He shrugged. “You could have spent the night with me in my hotel room. I would have fed you all night long.”

Edwina’s belly squirmed at the prospect. But, lying snuggled into his lanky body in the back of the car last night they’d both agreed to keep up the public will-they-or-won’t-they subterfuge for the duration of the rally.

They couldn’t afford to be caught sneaking into each other’s rooms and confirming it. The fans liked the mystery; it gave them something to gossip about. So Edwina and Justin needed to practise discretion this week.

But when they were alone – truly alone with nobody watching – all bets were off. She was done with keeping him at arm’s length. Done with all that after the rally nonsense.

When they were alone, it was a definite will they.

And, with no cars in front or behind, they were alone right now.

“Of course, I don’t have my hands on the steering wheel, do I?” she mused, walking her fingers higher.

“Ed,” he warned, his thigh tensing beneath his trendy low rider chinos.

“It’s okay,” she murmured, enjoying the tease as her fingers inched closer to his crotch. “Just drive. I’ll take care of this.”

Her fingers travelled from his groin to the bulge between his legs. Her index finger stroking up and down the rapidly growing length of his erection. “Ooh. You’re hungry too, I see.”

“Ed,” he warned again. “You know how I promised to get you to Byron Bay alive, right? This is not the way to do it.”

Edwina knew he was right. That it wasn’t safe to be distracting him when he was driving, but hell, as she’d told Ruth last night, she’d been living safe.

This morning, she felt reckless.

And horny.

“So you don’t want me to do this, then?” she said, fingering the tab of his zipper and sliding it down, her fingers pushing inside to his underwear, to grip his massive erection.
